Course Reserves

Course reserves provide a no-cost alternative for all students to access their textbooks and other course readings. Physical reserves are held at the circulation desk, and electronic reserves are held in Leganto.

All courses have a reading list in Leganto (https://alliance-uidaho.alma.exlibrisgroup.com/leganto/public/01ALLIANCE_UID/searchlists) that includes all physical and electronic materials. These are searchable by instructor’s last name, course name, or the alpha-numeric course code (ex. ANTH100).

Physical textbooks:

  • These books are in the cupboards above the hold shelf, labeled by small, laminated cards.
  • Fall 2023’s textbooks are in the second through fourth cabinets, separated alphabetically from AGEC to WGSS.
  • Loan periods are 3 hours, 1 day, or 3 days; all items will have a small yellow label above the barcode with their loan period stated on it.

Electronic reserves:

  • These reserves include all PDFs, eBooks, videos, and articles that professors use for their courses.
  • These are accessible through Leganto (link above or from the “Reserves” link under the search on the main Library website).
  • Students need to be logged in to access these lists.
