Returning vs. scanning

Both commands are found under the “Fulfillment” option in your menu bar.

Select “return” when scanning materials in that have been returned via the book drops or handed to you for return by the patron.

Select “scan in” when scanning materials that have not actually been checked out to a patron. These materials include materials brought down to us by technical services, materials found out of place throughout the stacks and on the re-shelving bookshelves.
