1. Played violin for the wedding of Ralph Bunche.
2. Taught as a visiting professor a Pacific Union College
3. Taught bible at a Hawaiian Mission Academy in Hawaii.
4. Was the pastor who oversaw the completion of the Ephesus Adventist Church in DC on 3985 Massachussetts Ave. NW. And was the last person to pastor the church under that name. Its’ new name became Dupont Park.
5. His parents attended Tugaloo College before they settled in Los Angeles.
6. Was the 2nd Black person to graduate from Pacific Union College (1918) behind Frank L. Peterson (1916).
7. His parents sponsored Dr. Ruth Temple to medical school. She became the 1st Black female graduate of Loma Linda Medical School.
8. Was a Proponent of Black Adventist Unions
9. His wife, Ruby served as both director of admissions under the Frank Hale Oakwood College presidency and Oakwood College Church Clerk under E.C. Ward.
10. Ruby is also credited with being the 1st Adventist to conduct a vacation bible school in the denomination.
11. At Oakwood, Ruby also taught piano and theory, and directed the glee club.
12. He wrote and scored at least 3 gospel songs.
13. He was twice recruited to serve as President of Lake Region Conference.
